A distinct feature of this newly opened SPAR Supermarket is the butchery section where customers can purchase high-quality fresh meat and meat products. Additionally, there is a fish market offering fresh sea and freshwater fish, as well as shellfish. For customers who prefer ready-made warm meals, the store serves freshly prepared lunch and dinner options daily.
SPAR Croatia is committed to supporting local, small family producers. The Ozalj SPAR Supermarket offers 12 different local wines and three types of premium vinegar. Notable products include pumpkin seed oil, pumpkin flour, and kernels from the family farm Tomislav Kovač, as well as cured meat from supplier Milivoj Medven. The store also sells local hazelnut spread and cheeses, including those from local producer Koren Zdravlja, who participated in SPAR Croatia’s ‘Start it up, Croatia!‘ project, which helps local entrepreneurs secure exclusive long-term supplier contracts with the retailer.
To make shopping easier and faster, the new supermarket features four self-service cash registers. Customers can also enjoy free parking with 75 spaces, including dedicated spots for families and disabled shoppers.
The opening ceremony was attended by local government officials, along with SPAR Croatia’s CEO Helmut Fenzl and SPAR Croatia Executive team members.
At the opening, SPAR Croatia donated €2,600 to the voluntary fire brigade in Ozalj, highlighting SPAR’s strong community support.
